The Clean and Safe Streets Program(CSSP) is a city wide effort to clean up Los Angeles neighborhoods in conjunction with community based non-profit partners and the Office of Community Beautification Department of Public Works, providing additional weed and litter removal. Clean up teams patrol, inspect, and report trash, bulky items, weeds, illegally dumped items, and hazardous conditions in assigned areas. GAP also partner with City Council offices during community clean up events.
GAP’s Clean Up Crews currently service Boyle Heights, Downtown Los Angeles, El Serreno, Harbor City, Harbor Gateway, Lincoln Heights, San Pedro, South Los Angeles, Watts and Wilmington. Gap also has special contract with the City of Los Angeles Department of Sanitation to service Harbor City Greenway, Manchester Greenway, University Park Rain Garden and First Street Corridor in Boyle Heights.
The coordinator of CSSP is Mario Gomez, a member of our Community Clean Up (CCU) Department.
