We recently implemented our Clean and Safe Streets Program CSSP) in conjunction with the City of LA’s Office of Community Beautification. The newly appointed coordinator of CSSP is Mario Gomez, a member of our Community Clean Up (CCU) department.
CSSP will patrol, inspect, and report on trash, bulky items, weeds, illegally dumped items, and hazardous conditions in assigned areas. It will then coordinate requests for bulky items pick up; clean up vacant lots, alleys, and right-of-ways; assist regular CCU crews in Zero Tolerance Zones; respond to and remove racist and hate graffiti; and supervise the removal of trash, weeds, and illegally dumped items.
That’s a lot of responsibility, and community residents are already expressing satisfaction for the work being done.
